CTG Software Developer Generalist in Yorktown Heights, New York

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Developer position for our client in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, Austin, Texas, Poughkeepsie, NY, Rochester, MN.

Duration: 11 months

Duties:

  • Design, implement, and optimize Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

  • Manage source control using Git, including branching, merging, and ensuring best practices.

  • Utilize scripting languages (Bash, Python) and programming languages (C, C++) for various software development tasks.

  • Work with Docker or Podman for containerization, and Kubernetes or OpenShift for container orchestration.

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

  • Set up and manage automated testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with related tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI.

  • Proficiency in Git and experience with Git-based platforms (GitHub, GitLab).

  • Advanced knowledge in scripting languages like Bash or Python.

  • Familiarity with C, C++, and CMake for software development.

  • Experience with containerization using Docker or Podman, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in software development, including working with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and scripting languages.

  • Experience in containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools.

  • Proven track record of setting up and optimizing automated testing in a software development environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
