CTG is seeking to hire a 3D CAD Modeler - Autodesk Inventor / Solidworks Consultant to work onsite with our client at their Semiconductor Research Laboratory in Yorktown Heights, New York.

Description:

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a highly qualified individual to interface with and support Research Engineers, Scientists and Project Managers to understand the needs and requirements of complex mechanical systems and parts and to create the 3D Models and detailed engineering drawings necessary to build them.

Job Duties:

  • Job Duty 1 - Develop accurate 3D Models, with attention to detail, based on interaction with Research Engineers and Project Managers.

  • Job Duty 2 - Create completely detailed drawing sets in accordance with applicable standards including bill of materials

  • Job Duty 3 - Interact with Prototype Machinists to bring parts and assemblies to completion.

  • Job Duty 4 – Reverse engineering and documentation of existing components.

Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering and/or specialized courses in 3D Modelling, drafting, design and engineering practices and a minimum of five years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.

  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Inventor (preferred) and/or Solidworks 3D CAD Modelling. 5 Years

  • Proficiency in developing detailed and accurate mechanical designs, drawings and bills of material. 5 Years

  • Aptitude for interpreting data based on knowledge of design intent and innovative mechanical problem solving. 5 Years

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers, etc.) for documentation reverse engineering of components. 3 Years

  • Candidates MUST be able to remain focused on tasks and work quickly and efficiently to meet rigid project due dates.

  • Selected candidate will interact with Research Engineers and clients extensively through formal and informal meetings.

  • Preference given to candidates with CAD Design Certification
