Job Title : Project Planner - Scheduler II
Location : Wilmington, NC
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC
Pay Rate : $27.64 per hour
Work Hours : M-F 8am-5pm
Education : AAS Engineering Technology, BS Engineering Technology, BS Engineering or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities:
Weekly email communications of tasks that are late or that are scheduled to start/end in the next 2 weeks (weekly work plan).
Regular communication of driving predecessors that impact target dates (to task owners & project lead).
Develop and update weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers. Pull Planning or Last Planning.
Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
Develop/manage constraint log.
Obtain commitments from owners to resolve constraints.
Monitor & communicate resource utilization via the project plan (people & $).
Coach/mentor Leaders & Task Owners on the planning process & constraint resolution.
Log all new information and provide scheduled reports for coordination and reporting purposes.
Assist in refining tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project requirements as scheduled.
Interact with project team and task managers to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
Assist in developing mechanical and electrical installation checklists and schedules.
Requirements:
Education:
- AAS Engineering Technology, BS Engineering Technology, or BS Engineering (Equivalent work experience may be considered in rare cases, such as project management roles with integrated scheduling).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
Skills Required:
MS Project experience (Primavera is acceptable).
Proficient in MS Project and familiar with execution methodologies such as waterfall, agile, sprint, and lean/last planning.
MS Outlook experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills or Work Style:
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and well-organized.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams.
Additional Requirements:
Familiarity with mechanical and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems, and automated equipment systems.
Must be willing to spend minimal time on the floor to familiarize with equipment and installation processes.
Must be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors).
Equipment or Software Experience:
3+ years of MS Project experience (including MSP Online administration).
Experience in constraint management, critical path analysis, resource planning, and driving predecessor analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with equipment used in machine installation activities.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation schedules and checklists.
