CTG EHS Technician - 3rd Shift in Whitsett, North Carolina
CTG is seeking to fill an EHS Technician opening for our client in Whitsett, NC.
Location: Whitsett, NC
Duration: 12 months+, with possibility for extension
Duties:
Perform tasks related to the EHS Program.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections.
Assist with and conduct site EHS training.
Recognize hazards and ensure compliance with safety programs and standards.
Provide hands-on EHS expertise to warehouse and production staff.
Identify workplace safety hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Maintain and implement site-specific EHS policies.
Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.
Monitor waste and recycling areas for compliance.
Order and maintain spill supplies; clean up spills as necessary.
Conduct accident investigations.
Collaborate with security personnel during emergencies (e.g., tornado, fire, medical).
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERT/Safety Observer/First Response Teams.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NC regulations.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in an EHS role or an associate degree.
Experience in a production and warehouse environment.
Emergency response experience preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with health and safety plans and policies.
Experience with forklifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection.
Current First-Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain quickly.
Schedule:
- Weekends from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
