CTG EHS Technician - 3rd Shift in Whitsett, North Carolina

CTG is seeking to fill an EHS Technician opening for our client in Whitsett, NC.

Location: Whitsett, NC

Duration: 12 months+, with possibility for extension

Duties:

  • Perform tasks related to the EHS Program.

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections.

  • Assist with and conduct site EHS training.

  • Recognize hazards and ensure compliance with safety programs and standards.

  • Provide hands-on EHS expertise to warehouse and production staff.

  • Identify workplace safety hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

  • Maintain and implement site-specific EHS policies.

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.

  • Monitor waste and recycling areas for compliance.

  • Order and maintain spill supplies; clean up spills as necessary.

  • Conduct accident investigations.

  • Collaborate with security personnel during emergencies (e.g., tornado, fire, medical).

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERT/Safety Observer/First Response Teams.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NC regulations.

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in an EHS role or an associate degree.

  • Experience in a production and warehouse environment.

  • Emergency response experience preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with health and safety plans and policies.

  • Experience with forklifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection.

  • Current First-Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain quickly.

Schedule:

  • Weekends from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
