CTG has two open positions for Project Information Management Analysts level 1 to join our Information Management Support team in Whiting, Indiana.

Position Summary

The Project Information Management (PIM) Analyst I role will serve as a point of coordination for PIM leads and project managers and will work to complete hands-on documentation requests such as completing printing and plotting of required information and maintaining the equipment required to produce prints and plots. The role will work to maintain flat files and hard copies (i.e., mylars, binders, etc.) as required for use by projects or those coordinating with projects for business continuity. As a conduit between the site and EPCs /vendors, this role will work with team / project leads to coordinate the transfer and handover of information in a way that conforms and complies with client operational standards at specific delivery milestones. Assistance and support will be provided to team / project leads across the project lifecycle, managing the documentation used by a project as they work with contractors.

Essential Functions / Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the transfer, upload, and archival of operational project information to the client’s electronic data management system at appropriate delivery milestones

  • Perform master document delivery report assessments at each delivery milestone

  • Assists with the organization and preparation of the documents for final archiving/transfer to the client.

  • Assist PIM Lead(s) with the management of engineering, procurement, supplier, construction, and project documentation.

  • Assist with storage, distribution and filing of all project documents in both paper and electronic format.

  • Assist with quality audits on documents, drawings ensuring that all appropriate practices, procedures and guidelines are followed.

  • Communicate project information management requirements and processes to project teams and contractors

  • Where required, attend team meetings.

  • Flexibility and team cooperation including filling in for co-workers during absences and assisting co-workers with heavy workloads as needed.


  • High school diploma required

  • Associates Degree preferred

  • Bachelors Degree helpful


  • 2 Years experience in project or information management preferred

  • 2 years experience working with engineering documentation preferred

  • Experience creating and running macros in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience creating and maintaining Access Databases

  • Visual Basic Programming experience preferred

Required Skills / Competencies

  • High proficiency in computer use with Windows operating systems

  • Ability to work within an electronic data management system

  • Experience in auditing electronic documents to ensure they contain accurate revisions, states, dates, attributes and are numbered correctly

  • Ability to identify different types of engineering information and have knowledge of their use

  • Expert in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher)

  • Expert in Adobe Acrobat Professional

  • Experience with the viewing, printing and plotting of electronic file formats (DOC, XLS, DWG, DGN, PDF, TIF)
