Procurement Operations Support Specialist

CTG's premier global pharmaceutical client located in Whippany, NJ has an immediate need for a Procurement Operations Support Specialist within their Procure to Pay Department to support the end-to-end Procurement process through PO creation to invoicing.

Position Overview:

The Procure to Pay Front Desk group is responsible for ensuring the greatest positive value is achieved in the processing of direct and indirect spend for the Bayer US Organization. We support our 10 major US sites with approximately 2,000 requestors that have a various needs for goods and services.

The Procurement Operations Support position will act as a liaison, providing information and resolving any emerging problems or questions on the end-to-end process that our internal customers present via a generic email address, with accuracy and efficiency. Inquiry resolutions are supported by a Knowledge Warehouse, where quick searches assist with providing the proper responses. Emails may also be assigned to subject matter experts for resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately process email transactions received using a computer and designated tracking software on a timely basis

Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information, researching, locating, and providing information

Resolves problems by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions, implementing documented solutions and escalating unresolved problems

Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information, completing transactions, and forwarding requests to subject matter experts per protocol

Follows standard processes and procedures

Follows up and makes scheduled call backs to customers where necessary

Stays current with system information, changes and updates

Provides feedback on gaps in information cascading to the organization by identifying common themes of questions and root causes

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

3 years of Procure to Pay related business process experience (experience MUST be in procurement operations NOT sourcing)

Strong ability to quickly learn relevant software computer applications and equipment;

Effective listening skills

Willingness to co-operate with others and work to the greater good;

Demonstrated time management and planning skills required with ability to adapt to changes in requirements in a fast-paced environment; strong ability to multi task

Strong commitment to company guidelines and policies

High business acumen and problem resolution skills

Solid understanding of systems workflow, dependencies and inter-dependencies

Preferences:

1 years’ experience in SAP and Ariba

Other:

Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour W-2 only (sorry no Corp to Corp)

Duration: 12 Months, extendable

Shift: 9:00 AM Start
