Essential job functions:
Software System Engineers are responsible for documenting detailed technical software requirements. They interact with and work closely with the software development team to clearly communicate software requirements. They review QA test cases to ensure that test coverage includes complete feature functionality. They work with product delivery teams to investigate problems identified during QA testing, and provide detailed information to the OEM development team.
BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
10-15 years of experience in product development in a Software Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related role. Five years of experience documenting software product requirements. End to end product delivery experience preferred.
Technically proficient with one or more subject areas, including Printing (Postscript / PCL), Scanning, Fax, Web Solutions, Connectivity, or IT Security. Knowledge of network technologies and protocols, such as Ethernet, WiFi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, SNMP, IPP, TLS, SOAP, and Network Authentication.
Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent organization and technical communication skills (written / verbal). Must have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Able to balance priorities under time/schedule constraints in a fast paced work environment.
Able to establish strong working relationships with individuals and teams across different geographies.
