CTG has a client in Webster, NY with an immediate opening for an Engineer for an exciting long term contract assignment!
Essential job functions:
-Perform analytical and conceptual work to detail how equipment or system will function . Develop complicated designs and models.
-Provide engineering expertise with regards to planning, preparation of plans and specifications for new equipment or process.
-The engineer will be responsible for all stages of product and process development. This includes generating design solutions, prototyping, testing and delivering the solution to the customer.
-The engineer will regularly interface with software, electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to integrate their designs into new and existing solutions.
-The engineer will utilize problem solving techniques to identify and optimize the critical functions of their designs in order to ensure robust system performance.
-May be required to direct and manage technicians and/or designers.
-Will be required to self-manage
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
-Bachelor Degree of Science in engineering discipline with around 1 to 5 years of hands on experience.
-Background in Process, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
-Strong problem solving skills, able to apply mechanical engineering principles to complex and highly interactive problems.
-Hands on in electronics/electrical/SW/electro-mechanical systems.
-Able to create models and analysis on CAD/CAE tools such as NX and FEA.
-Experience in production printing systems and paper handling a plus.
