CTG is seeking a Deployment Integration Engineer for a 1-year project located in Washington, DC. Looking for experience with Cerner / Epic site deployment at major multi-facility level. Seeking someone with understanding of VA deployment processes (in particular those around VistA) and understanding of common concerns / risks to deployment, to include infrastructure, training, integration. Must be able to evaluate schedule and other types of risk.


  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent OR 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

15 Years of Experience

  • An Expert Integration Engineer must create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained.

  • Coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed. The expert integration engineer must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks.

The expert integration engineer must be cost conscience as well addressing goals.


  • A Senior Deployment Manager must have experience in leading a team in the fielding of IT systems, networks, hardware and software of both a simple and complex nature.

  • Must have extensive knowledge in the creation of deployment plans, the creation of cost, schedule and performance expectations based on input from all team members.

  • Must be able to identify all activities required in the near, mid and long term phases of a program.

  • Must have experience in a wide variety of environments and equipment.

  • Must have experience in planning in order to ensure that deployment can be performed on schedule and with the available resources.

  • Bachelor's Degree - computer science, engineering management or other engineering or technical discipline is required OR 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

  • 10 years of experience
