CTG Financial Analyst Technical Writer in United States
CTG is seeking to fill a Financial Analyst Technical Writer opening for our client in New York.
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Overview:
The Financial Analyst Technical Writer will conduct research and prepare financial analyses and reports to provide management with critical financial information for decision-making. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance forecasting models and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide cross-training and support to new team members.
Compile data, analyze trends, and offer recommendations to management.
Assist in project design and may lead projects of moderate scope.
Research and compile raw data into moderately complex reports and schedules.
Suggest improvements to existing forecasting models by collaborating with related teams.
Enhance sustainability and documentation of assigned tasks and processes.
Utilize judgment to identify and present meaningful insights based on data analysis.
Demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems and tools.
Understand finance and accounting concepts through data aggregation.
Exhibit foundational knowledge of financial statements, including major Balance Sheet and Income Statement line items.
Participate in training and development opportunities across finance.
Adhere to department timelines and deliverables.
Comply with risk and regulatory standards, escalating issues to management as needed.
Promote a diverse environment that reflects the company brand.
Maintain internal control standards and address audit points or regulatory issues promptly.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Individual contributor role with a focus on analysis and reporting.
May involve training junior staff.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
- May train junior staff as necessary.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Master’s degree in Finance or related discipline.
Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
