Job Title:Bioengineering Scientist II
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-designed scientific or engineering experiments using laboratory equipment and calculations. Products include benchtop instruments, sample preparation, and protein expression.
Make detailed observations and basic data analysis
Advise supervisor of factors that may affect quality, accuracy, timeliness and usefulness of data
Troubleshoot experiments with assistance from supervisor
Maintain complete and thorough lab notebook and training file in accordance with division standard
Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures
Prepare PCR reaction plates and run on AB qPCR systems
This position entails working with a team of experienced scientists and interaction with cross-functional teams.
Required Experience and Skills:
B.S. in molecular biology, chemistry or similar disciplines.
1-3 years of experience in molecular biology or DNA sequencing industry
Experience in nucleic acid analysis including AB and qPCR amplification and purification.
Experience in liquid and solid tissue handling, aseptic technique
Experience in optimization of reagents and protocols.
Excellent organizational, record keeping and communication skills.
A strong work ethic to deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is necessary.
