CTG, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician for a one-year contract with our client located in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Posting Title: Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Functions include the repair and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment used in the synthesis and assembly process. Build parts to meet production schedule. Works from written and verbal instructions, specifications, drawings, and manuals. Initiates recommendations for process improvements and works in cross-functional teams to coordinate and resolve manufacturing related issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes electrical and mechanical test equipment. Recognizes and reports deviations and nonstandard situations, and performs basic equipment repairs

Performs well defined electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. Resolves routine failures and able to follow direction on repairs and recoveries as directed by engineers..

Utilizes basic statistical tools and basic arithmetic to collect data and monitor process results. Assists in equipment installations and modifications and makes recommendations to engineering and management to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and increase productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

AS degree, certificate in electronics, or related military experience preferred

AS degree in electronics

Yrs. of related experience:

3-5 years experience as an equipment technician

5 years experience as an equipment technician

Excellent communications skills

Self directed and highly motivated to complete tasks and assignments

Troubleshooting skills to component level

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Project software applications

Licenses/Certifications

CPR / Emergency Response

Travel:

Primary Working Relationships:

Interfaces with manufacturing operators, supervisors, equipment engineering, process engineering and management.

Level of Autonomy and Complexity:

Utilizes basic statistical tools and basic arithmetic to collect data and monitor process results. Familiar with spreadsheets and databases. Works on routine to complex projects and must be able to meet deadlines.
