CTG Laboratory Technician I in Richland, Washington
CTG is seeking to fill a Laboratory Technician I job for our client in Richland, WA.
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 6 months
Pay : $21.45/hr
4-10 hour shifts M-TH
We are looking for candidates with Medical Lab experience
Duties:
Provide technical and administrative support to the Fitness for Duty (FFD) program during the Client site Outages.
Collect and process breath and urine specimens for analysis in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26 and federal and state regulations, including NRC, OSHA, HHS, and WAC guidelines.
Perform analysis of breath samples and maintain accurate documentation.
Maintain and troubleshoot FFD equipment, ensuring proper operation and performance per manufacturers' specifications.
Conduct performance and accuracy checks on testing equipment.
Maintain FFD collection and testing facility supplies, equipment, and record systems.
Ensure strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Provide technical support in the operation and maintenance of the testing equipment.
Maintain required certifications under 10 CFR Part 26 for urine and breath alcohol testing.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling and documentation.
Skills:
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in basic computer software (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
Experience:
Previous experience in a laboratory or medical testing environment is required.
Prior experience with Fitness for Duty (FFD) programs, drug and alcohol testing, or similar regulatory testing preferred.
Familiarity with 10 CFR Part 26 regulations is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional certifications or training in lab or medical testing fields is preferred.
Must be trainable in all aspects of specimen collection and processing for drug and alcohol testing in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26.
Other Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to client site
Ability to work under critical deadlines and in stressful conditions.
Must pass background checks as required under 10 CFR Part 26.
Additional Information:
In-house training will be provided.
No per diem, mobilization, or demobilization offered for this position.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
