CTG Technology Team Lead in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a Technology Team Lead opening for our client in New York.

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months

Overview:

The Technology Manager will oversee the activities of several Technology Team Leaders, ensuring effective development and systems support efforts. This role involves providing day-to-day direction aligned with departmental goals and managing client relations and expectations. The ideal candidate will strive to achieve both individual and organizational objectives while managing costs effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consult with client management to analyze short-range business requirements and recommend innovative solutions.

  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Monitor industry technology trends and vendor applications.

  • Initiate changes to the status quo when necessary.

  • Conduct vendor and product analysis and make recommendations.

  • Oversee application development, testing efforts, and project management.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned area.

  • Communicate effectively within the organization to foster cooperation.

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations.

  • Direct team activities, assign personnel to projects, and ensure timely completion of schedules.

  • Implement technology in accordance with Division standards and long-range plans.

  • Manage project plans and coordinate major project activities.

  • Develop and manage multiple cost center budgets.

  • Recommend new policies and procedures for departmental improvement.

  • Adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards and enhance internal controls.

  • Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Management of multiple technology teams.

  • Responsibility for project queue management and client expectations.

  • Leadership in developing policies and procedures for improved performance.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Authority over staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations.

  • Lead and mentor teams, encouraging collaboration and performance excellence.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree with 7 years of technology or systems management experience, or a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 7 years in technology management.

  • Proficiency in project management and familiarity with system development life cycles.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of 10 years in technology management or large program leadership.

  • Extensive knowledge of application and product functionalities.

  • Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities.

  • Understanding of the Bank's business plan and strategic objectives.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50/hour to $68/hour. Salary offers are based on various factors including skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and applicable licensure or certifications. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
