CTG Strategic Sourcing Analyst I in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a Strategic Sourcing Analyst I opening for our client in New York.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 5-7 months with likely conversion to fulltime employee with client

Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in Office 2 remote

Overview:

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst I will work collaboratively with business units to identify suitable vendors, ensuring optimal pricing and adherence to corporate standards. This role is pivotal in executing the Strategic Sourcing process, aimed at maximizing competition and leveraging vendor contracts effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to identify an Executive Sponsor and form a cross-functional project team for sourcing initiatives.

  • Lead project teams through the Strategic Sourcing process, ensuring timely communication of progress and challenges to stakeholders.

  • Organize and facilitate kick-off meetings to define project objectives, strategies, and timelines.

  • Develop and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) based on business needs and market analysis.

  • Analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, coordinating multiple rounds of bids and vendor assessments.

  • Conduct contract negotiations in partnership with the Project Team and Legal, focusing on competitive pricing and advantageous terms.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for the Executive Sponsor and senior management, detailing recommendations, savings, and operational impacts.

  • Assist business units in navigating the Third-Party Risk Management Program to ensure vendors are adequately vetted and approved.

  • Research procurement trends to identify and recommend potential savings opportunities.

  • Adhere to risk management standards, escalating issues as necessary, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure timely implementation of internal control standards and audit points.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst I is integral to the structured process of vendor selection, focusing on maximizing competition and ensuring optimal pricing. This role plays a critical part in managing expenses and mitigating risks for the Bank, ensuring all contracts are properly documented and represent the best value for the organization.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related areas.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management.

  • Knowledge of risk management practices within procurement processes.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $39,000 to $59,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
