CTG Software Engineer in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer position for our client in Rochester, MN.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and support existing applications. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the team lead for work assignments, working with business users and IT technical teams to gather requirements, and developing back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications. The role involves ensuring cloud-based micro-services meet uptime and accuracy targets, participating in Agile and DevOps practices, and documenting processes and source code.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery

  • Experience with relational databases (SQL, preferably Oracle)

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and integration, preferably on the Apigee platform

  • Understanding of cloud environments (Google and Azure)

  • Knowledge of modern application development frameworks and practices

Experience:

  • At least 5 years in software development and support

  • Proven experience in data warehousing, big data systems, or business intelligence products

  • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience coding applications or services in high-level languages (Java, C++, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
