CTG Senior Software Engineer in Remote, United States
CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Software Engineer position for our client in Rochester, MN.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design and build back-end services that support data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
Ensure cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale effectively.
Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications that benefit users.
Translate requirements into code by working closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects.
Develop services around data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and integration frameworks.
Program in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
Maintain documentation of processes and source code.
Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues through root cause analysis.
Contribute to design and architecture discussions and mentor junior software engineers.
Lead projects or project steps within broader initiatives and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
Skills:
Google Cloud Platform experience, specifically with Cloud Run, GCP Operations Suite, VPCs, and Networking.
Deploying applications from GitHub Enterprise to Google Cloud via CI/CD.
Familiarity with GCP databases and other GCP APIs/services.
Experience in agile environments and with .NET Core applications.
Ability to diagram Google Cloud and API architectures.
Any GCP certifications are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud computing and microservices.
Proven track record of developing software solutions and applications in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C#, etc.).
Experience building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems.
Education:
Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field is required.
An Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $155,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
