CTG Senior Business Data Consultant in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Business Data Consultant opening for our client in New York.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Banking experience is a must have.

Overview:

The Senior Business Data Consultant will provide expert guidance to the assigned business in implementing components of the Data Management Program, focusing on governance, quality, issue management, reporting, data architecture, solutions, analytics, and project management. This role is vital for aligning with the overall Enterprise Data Management Program and enhancing data-driven decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the Data Management Strategy and development of the Data Management Framework, Policies, and Standards for the assigned business unit.

  • Implement the Data Management Program within the business unit, providing training and support to business line and technology personnel.

  • Facilitate data management-related working groups and discussions.

  • Develop a deep understanding of data management practices and maintain knowledge of industry trends.

  • Measure compliance with the business and Enterprise Data Management policies and standards.

  • Collaborate with the business to identify critical data elements and capture relevant metadata.

  • Monitor data quality through the measurement of enterprise-wide key performance/key risk indicators (KPIs/KRIs) for effective data risk management.

  • Facilitate the remediation of data management-related issues.

  • Advocate for the usage of business and enterprise data management tools and business intelligence tools among relevant stakeholders.

  • Analyze large data sets to derive actionable business insights and drive tangible value.

  • Ensure adherence to the company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Identify risk-related issues that require escalation to management.

  • Foster a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects the company’s brand.

  • Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Senior Business Data Consultant will work closely with various teams within the organization to ensure effective data management practices are in place and aligned with the overall strategy.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, business analytics, or related areas.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience in a consulting environment.

  • Familiarity with data management tools and business intelligence platforms.

  • Professional certifications related to data management or analytics.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50/hour to $75/hour . Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
