CTG Project Manager – Deployment Fiber Analyst in Remote, United States
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager – Deployment Fiber Analyst opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 9am-5pm typically, but can shift if working on Central 8am-4pm due to working on East Coast
Travel: This position has a 5% travel potential (once or twice a year)
Duties:
Manage the end-to-end testing of dark fiber delivery projects and the acceptance recommendation of purchased vendor network.
Lead the core customer-facing team to meet project commitments, deployment, and delivery schedules.
Manage field deployment service personnel to meet project commitments.
Oversee project schedules as dictated by the customer.
Provide critical analysis on vendor's fiber network data handover packages.
Use industry-standard software (e.g., EXFO FastReporter2) to assist in testing.
Build reports from required field test data, including OTDR traces, CD/PMD, Power measurement/Span Loss, ORL, and Fiber End Face validation.
Coordinate field teams to complete testing regimens successfully.
Coordinate with vendors to support field teams.
Prepare deployment testing packages for Field Engineers, including network schematics, scope of work, test result packages, and site access information.
Manage all project documentation and ensure timely delivery of final handover data within three days of test completion.
Interface and coordinate with vendors or customer support teams to address dark fiber or leased wave issues.
Manage regional project financials and team labor and expense accruals.
Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills.
High-level analytical skills.
Proficient in reading and interpreting OTDR, CD/PMD, OLTS, and CMAX traces and files.
Proficient in the use of EXFO FastReporter2 or equivalent software.
Advanced knowledge of ISP and OSP (Outside Plant) fiber networks.
Strong communication skills for both written and oral presentations.
Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
Ability to identify issues and develop resolutions effectively.
Experience interfacing with vendors and developing remediation protocols.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Telecom Network Infrastructure environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or project support capacity.
Experience with Exfo Fast Reporter software or similar fiber test analysis tools.
Experience in fiber network analysis, including OTDR, CD/PMD, and OLTS testing.
Experience with vendor contractual deliverables.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $30.82 to $38.53. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
