CTG PKI Engineer in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a PKI Engineer opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY, Wilmington, DE, or Bridgeport, CT

Duration: 12 months

Overview:

The PKI Engineer will serve as a specialist in public key infrastructure technologies and services within our client’s organization. This role involves collaborating with technology management and engineering teams to implement and manage technical solutions that meet the current and future needs of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to design, develop, and execute technical solutions.

  • Participate in infrastructure architecture and design, and conduct research and development of new systems.

  • Create technology standards and policies based on thorough analysis of user requirements and operational constraints.

  • Engage in unit testing, system integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Interact independently with business partners at various levels to clarify problems and elicit business requirements.

  • Coordinate vendor interactions and manage vendor resources as needed.

  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers and technicians; review their documentation and proposals.

  • Stay informed on Financial Services trends and technologies, promoting best practices and standards.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of bank applications, systems, and vendor technologies.

  • Adhere to the company's risk and regulatory standards, identifying issues for escalation when necessary.

  • Foster an environment that supports diversity and reflects the organization’s brand.

  • Ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit points and address any issues raised by regulators.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical solutions in the PKI domain.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with business needs and technology capabilities.

  • Drive continuous improvement in systems design and implementation processes.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Mentor less experienced team members.

  • Review and provide guidance on project documentation and proposals.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.

  • Strong understanding of system development and infrastructure lifecycle, vendor best practices, and IT service management.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a technical engineering position focused on infrastructure design technologies and system development.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured implementations using industry-standard approaches.

  • Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in industry and vendor technologies.

  • Experience collaborating with clients of varying levels to gather and document system specifications.

  • Strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements from diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
