CTG Mortgage Processor II in Remote, United States
CTG is seeking to fill a Mortgage Processor II opening for our client in Cheektowaga, NY.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
Responsible for processing conventional and government loan requests while adhering to product, underwriting, and state-specific investor guidelines. This role ensures a seamless application experience for clients and partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication with all parties involved in a new loan application, including customers, brokers, correspondents, loan officers, and co-workers.
Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to gather processing-related documentation, such as Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title searches, appraisals, and bank statements.
Notify necessary parties immediately of any irregularities concerning standard mortgage guidelines.
Monitor and update credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and all verifications to ensure all underwriting conditions are met, working closely with underwriting to resolve any issues swiftly.
Perform administrative duties supporting the origination department, including preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowners insurance, and updating loan conditions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Conduct analyses of regulatory documents to identify necessary changes.
Uphold the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, identifying risk-related issues for escalation to management.
Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain internal control standards, addressing any audit points or issues raised by external regulators.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Work closely with both internal and external customers, including co-workers, borrowers, and loan officers.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
Associate's degree with a minimum of one year of mortgage industry experience or two years of equivalent work experience, OR, in lieu of a degree, three years of equivalent work experience with at least one year in the mortgage industry.
Six months of specific M&T Bank mortgage processing experience plus an additional 6-12 months in customer service, operations, or the financial services industry.
Proficient PC skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, email, and PDF software.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Ability to make informed decisions based on available information.
Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements.
Versatility and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, changing mortgage environment.
Capacity to adapt to new policies and procedures for improved processes and workflow.
Ability to work independently within time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
Strong attention to detail and effective prioritization of daily workload.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong work ethic; reliable and dependable.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43,000 to $48,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
