CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an IT Network Engineer II .

Job Title : IT Network Engineer II
Location : 100% Remote
Pay Rate : $43-46 per hour
Work Hours : M-F 8am-5pm
Education : 4-year degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Description
The IT Network Engineer II will be responsible for configuring and supporting network devices and solutions to meet the connectivity needs of our business operations. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and administering network environments, including both WAN and LAN infrastructures, along with network software, hardware, and related tools.
You will also be actively involved in network design and improvement initiatives, particularly in upgrading legacy Cisco assets to more modern Arista DCS and CCS platforms, using Arista AVD and Cloudvision technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as a network subject matter expert, providing technical expertise and guidance on network design and solutions.
Support network infrastructure solutions, focusing on routing and switching.
Deploy, maintain, and administer network environments across multiple distributed sites.
Strong hands-on experience and understanding of EIGRP/OSPF/BGP routing protocols.
Expertise in Cisco and Arista DCS and CCS platforms with hands-on experience using Arista AVD and Cloudvision.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, software, and other network/system issues.
Participate in root cause analysis of incidents and contribute to identifying and implementing preventative actions.
Create, review, and update technical functional specifications, network solutions design documentation, and operations guides/runbooks, ensuring they are complete and up-to-date.
Ensure documentation meets operational standards and supports network reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Education : 4-year degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience : 4-5+ years of experience analyzing requirements for implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting network devices/functions/tools/processes in a large enterprise or telecommunications environment.
Certifications : CCNP or equivalent Arista certification.
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding and implementation of EIGRP/OSPF/BGP routing protocols.
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista DCS and CCS platforms.
Ability to use Arista AVD and Cloudvision.
Experience with WAN, LAN, network hardware, and software.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.00/hour to $46.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
