CTG Automation Engineer in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill an Automation Engineer opening for our client.

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing systems.

  • Utilize coding skills to automate tasks and optimize workflows.

  • Develop and test control systems for automation processes, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards.

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to create layout designs that support automation systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems and processes.

  • Document designs, test results, and system configurations for future reference and compliance.

  • Continuously improve automation systems through ongoing evaluation and updates.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in coding (e.g., Python, C++, Java, or similar programming languages).

  • Experience with industrial automation systems and software.

  • Knowledge of control systems, robotics, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

  • Ability to design automation layouts and integrate solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to automation.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in an automation engineering role, including hands-on coding and system integration.

  • Proven track record of successful automation system design and implementation.

  • Experience with layout design and working with automation equipment and tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Additional certifications in automation systems or programming are a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00/hour to $70.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
