CTG is seeking a Web Professional to join our client’s Marketing Services team to act as a Web Strategist/Product Owner in RTP, NC. Web Professionals are the individuals who design, develop, publish, globalize, and optimize web experiences that engage audiences and drive belief, action, and advocacy for the client and client solutions in a measurable way. Web Professionals leverage a data-driven and insights-based approach to design, develop and optimize the business performance and visitor experience across the client’s web presence. They work closely with Content and Design Professionals to bring content to life and ensure a great experience across multiple screens and with a particular emphasis on Mobile. Web Professionals regularly monitor page and/or site performance and reflect on which content, design, and interactions to retire, scale or optimize.

Responsibilities for Web Professionals include:

  • Understanding the goals of web visitors and of the business and providing a web experience that best addresses the intersection of both

  • Defining the KPIs needed to make sure both goals are met

  • Leading the design and development of the web experience and curating the appropriate content, assets, and offers to drive engagement and conversion

  • Testing web page content, design, and interactions to improve the visitor experience and business performance

  • Translating and trans-creating web content and design

  • Overseeing and managing web performance and delivery

  • Championing best practices in delivering great web experiences.

Role description:

The Web Strategist for our client is a Web Professional within their Marketing Services Center team. The Web Strategist is accountable for leading the successful delivery of the website and web pages that improve business performance and client experience of the client’s web presence as measured by owned and earned traffic growth, engagement rate, Validated Leads (VL), Validated Lead Revenue Created (VLRC), and Web Experience NPS. The Web Strategist gathers business priorities and goals from key stakeholders including the performance marketing leader and relevant diamond team members (campaign managers, content strategists, and digital strategists); he or she defines, documents, and drives the delivery of the website supporting those priorities and goals. This role collaborates with other roles involved in the design, development, and optimization of the client’s Web presence for the BU (IGF) or web segment they support. This role also collaborates with relevant diamond team members, especially the digital strategist, to identify areas where organic web tactics can help amplify campaign performance results.

The Web Strategist acts as the steward of the client’s web experience and works across all web roles, and in collaboration with design and content colleagues, to make sure that web deliverables comply with client’s web quality standards and attain agreed performance KPIs.

In order to perform this role successfully, the candidate must be knowledgeable in the following areas: web user experience best practices, information architecture, basic SEO, digital and web behavioral analytics, the client’s design and brand standards, the client’s web standards and agile practices. The person in this role must also be skilled in the use of the client’s content management platforms (e.g., Drupal, Kapost, etc.), analytics platforms (Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Pearl, Sunrise, Hotjar), and client experience analytics platforms (e.g., Medallia).

Demonstrated success in delivering high-performing websites is required.

In addition to the above responsibilities and skills, when working as part of an agile team, the Web Strategist serves as the Product Owner within the Agile development process. A Product Owner represents the priorities of sponsors and the needs of users of the product, e.g., website or web page, being developed. The Web Product Owner creates and maintains a product backlog and ensures work items are prioritized for the agile team based on user needs and business value. A person in this role gathers, prioritizes, and translates business requirements into specific user stories. He or she manages sprint planning and participates in daily scrums and sprint reviews. The successful Product Owner must have knowledge of agile methods.
