CTG is seeking a System Administrator for our client in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Description:

In support all types of IBM Storage for all IBM platforms, the candidate will work with a team to set-up storage devices and assign capacity to hosts for benchmarks, PoCs, and PoTs. They also will be responsible for reassigning capacity as projects change, and will help to manage firmware, maintain the enterprise configuration and assist with testing scenarios.

Requirements:

• A foundation in IT, testing, configuration, Linux, SAN and Storage

• Linux administration skills

• Willingness to learn & a fast learner

• Attention to detail

• Excellent documentation skills

• Ability to work with others

• Medium to strong Linux administration skills (RHEL, Ubuntu)

• Ability to troubleshoot problems

• Shell scripting (ie. bash or other)

• Familiarity with File and Block storage

• Basic understanding of networking

• Familiar with Cisco and Brocade SAN Switches

• Basic SAN zone experience with consideration of redundancy and fail over
