CTG is seeking an IBM Power System Administrator to work a long term assignment for our client in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Must be familiar with IBM Power hardware. Successful candidate will be responsible for installing operating system & default software on IBM Power Servers, responsible for platform support, configure & verify hardware, configure & customize environment, maintain & update required software, troubleshooting & tech support, develop & maintain system builds, fileserving environment, backup & restore capability, tools. Will be responsible for capacity planning, performance management and security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational state of the environment.

Additional Power Admin skills:

  • VIOS

  • PowerVM

  • PowerVC

  • Firmware updates

  • Security patch updates

  • Building Virtual HMCs
