CTG Firmware Test Specialist in Poughkeepsie, New York
CTG is seeking to fill a Firmware Test Specialist opening for our client in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Duration: 6 months
Duties:
Provide 1st level support for firmware debug on machines.
Run test cases to verify firmware functionality and performance.
Write detailed defect reports for identified issues during testing.
Work closely with developers to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Ensure test environments are set up properly and testing is executed per the defined specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of firmware defects and other related issues.
Skills:
Strong understanding of firmware and hardware testing processes.
Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
Familiarity with writing defect reports and tracking issues using issue management tools.
Ability to run and analyze test cases for embedded systems or machine-level software.
Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in a firmware or hardware environment.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with developers and other team members.
Experience:
Previous experience in firmware testing, embedded systems, or similar roles.
Hands-on experience with debugging firmware-related issues.
Familiarity with machine-level software or embedded hardware testing.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
