CTG Performance Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

CTG is seeking to fill an Performance Engineer opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Work closely with development teams to integrate performance testing and optimization into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Develop and implement performance tests using tools like JMeter & K6.

  • Conduct performance tuning and code optimization for Java/Springboot applications.

  • Develop mock frameworks using Jmock, Mockito, and similar tools for testing purposes.

  • Create and maintain performance dashboards using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • Ensure Kafka integration is optimized and performing as expected within the application.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and reliability.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java and Springboot (Must have).

  • Strong expertise in performance tuning and code optimization (Must have).

  • Experience enabling performance tests as part of the CI pipeline (Must have).

  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and K6 (Must have).

  • Familiarity with mock frameworks like Jmock, Mockito, etc.

  • Experience building and maintaining performance dashboards using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana (Must have).

  • Kafka experience and integration knowledge.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in application performance optimization, including both front-end and back-end components.

  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for performance testing.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
