Currently, our valued client in Pasadena, TX has an opening for an Inventory and Production Analyst. This position is a contract to hire position.

During the contract portion, the maximum W2 hourly pay rate is $25.00/hr., based on experience and ability. Once hired directly by our client, the position will become salaried.

Mission

Maintain daily inventory and transaction accuracy for the Pasadena production and offsite storage sites. Monitor production material supply process. Administer cycle count process for onsite and offsite material. Post adjustments at appropriate approval levels as required. Analyze manufacturing variance, reconcile activity as required, post adjustments as required, and close production orders in coordination with operations manager. Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of results as required.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

  1. Employees are responsible for following all QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Env.) policies and procedures which includes, but is not limited to: Attend scheduled safety training, follow housekeeping requirements, place waste in designated containers, follow operating procedures, and immediately report any injuries or incidents to the supervisor.

  2. Compliance with all Logistics and other applicable SOP’s.

  3. Accountable for accurate and timely reflection of all site material transactions in Sage X3 and SAP (as required).

  4. Monthly book to book reconciliation and reporting between company, affiliate, and third-party warehousing.

  5. Monitor transfer requests to ensure timely and accurate transaction posting.

  6. Maintain organized (electronic and/or hard copy) history of all site transaction documentation and appropriate approvals.

  7. Coordinate and execute offsite storage location book to book reconciliation.

  8. Obtain and provide all necessary documentation for Internal Control System testing and auditing (as required).

  9. Manage all physical inventory counts (end of run, cycle, and annual) and reconciliation. Including proper documentation with appropriate approval for line item adjustments.

  10. Analyze, confirm, and/or correct site manufacturing variance weekly. Reporting as required.

  11. Maintain cost standard workbook in coordination with cost accounting personnel.

  12. Problem solving and transactional back up for Logistics and Production activities.

  13. Coordinate and assist in creating and maintaining material control transaction training documentation for Sage and SAP as required.

  14. Limited domestic travel.

  15. Other duties as assigned.

Value added

Accurate and timely posting/reporting of site inventory and production facilitates shipping finished goods to distribution centers, and on to customers. Accurate reporting and posting of material consumption resulting in accurate inventory levels facilitates production planning and execution. This timely accuracy directly impacts company financial statements.

Requirements

• College degree preferred with emphasis on experience or 10 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.

• Directly related manufacturing experience is a significant factor. Manufacturing ERP system and/or SAP experience is a plus.

Experience

• 5 years minimum directly related experience.

• Self-directed ability to work with little direct supervision.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.

• Good organization skills.

• Good verbal and written communication at various functional levels.
