CTG, INC. IS SEEKING A SOFTWARE ENGINEER (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) FOR A 14-MONTH CONTRACT WITH OUR CLIENT LOCATED IN PALMDALE, CA.
Job Description: The client is looking for a Software Engineer with 10 years of experience in building real-time, embedded avionics/vehicle management systems. The ideal candidate has experience decomposing high-level air system requirements into detailed avionics subsystem and software requirements specifications (SRS). The candidate should also have experience developing avionics system architectures and using model-based system engineering tools (e.g. Rhapsody, Rational) to document them. The candidate should be proficient with developing safety-critical components in C and/or C in a Linux environment, writing automated unit tests, and have experience integrating software components in a System Integration Lab (SIL). Experience working on an Agile team is desired.
Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to guide and mentor junior engineers, apply extensive technical expertise, has full knowledge of other related disciplines, and work without appreciable direction.
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years; position requires candidate to be cleared to a special access program (SAP).
