CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Measurements Technician I.

Type: Contract

Job Title: Measurements Technician I

Location: Painted Post , NY

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Painted Post, NY

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Associate’s degree in a Technical related field (Math, science, engineering)

A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as

  • Completely proficient in Excel as this position requires compiling data and data entry into Excel.

Description

Ability to quickly learn measurement techniques on multiple pieces of equipment, can set up and run the equipment on their own after being trained. Complete characterization of samples as requested. Encompass the application of scientific, mathematical, and statistical techniques in the determination of dimensions, quantity, or capacity of products or processes. Plans and arranges the schedules and equipment required for testing and evaluating samples. Compiles data and completes data entry in Excel. This is an onsite role in a plant setting.

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills and conducts data entry with accuracy.

  • Good work record (attendance, performance, behavior).

  • Accountable for objectives/goals.

  • Follows previously defined procedures.

  • Refers atypical or complex problems to others.

  • Works under close site supervision.

  • Recommends actions to improve efficiency.

  • Able to perform duties within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality.

  • Contacts are primarily within the immediate work group.

  • Technically curious individual with good organizational and time management skills.
