CTG is seeking to fill aSystems Engineeropening for our client based in Irving, Texas.

Duration: 6 months
We are looking for a Systems Engineer who is talented, energetic, and self-motivated to help buildout, maintain, and troubleshoot our observability and logging infrastructure. Monitoring Services Systems Engineer provides technical support from project inception through implementation and daily support by creating high-level technical requirements, design, and develops optimal observability and IT system solutions through the knowledge of business processes, systems architecture, and observability technologies. The Systems Engineer role is, for but not limited to, architect, installation, configuring, testing and maintaining application software and observability solutions.
Capture reporting requirements, develop system performance, capacity and key business transactions reports-dashboards by leveraging approved tools and processes to maintain operational availability of delivered solutions.
Provide input into strategies, capabilities and integrations to improve the availability and performance run-state of production applications.
Drive operational implementation of observability capabilities, dashboards and improvements.
Gathering business needs and report writing, updating and validating standard reports and metric dashboards to measure business performance including and providing Enterprise Application support.
Update and validate balanced scorecard needs for enterprise and recommend improvements to reporting processes.
Responsible for the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing support of various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools).
Provide customers with the best overall levels of service efficiencies through meeting and/or exceeding established goals or customer metrics.
Provide trending reports for the assessment of metric reports including customer program and application performance data.
Tracking and inventory of all implemented applications: observability, measuring and assuring the performance of all applications, and instrumenting and implementing an effective observability platforms.
Identify recurring issues and report for resolution.
Communicate with multiple levels of personnel. Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise.
Consult with other business units (e.g. application groups, DBAs, middleware, etc.) to configure platforms for product installation and ongoing support.
Design and document enterprise standards and procedures.
Provide on-site, and on-call 7x24x365 support, as needed.
Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
Plan and implement life cycle management of software and hardware.
Develops and follows change management documentation.
