CTG, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 2) for a one-year contract with our client located in Orlando, FL! There is a possibility that this contract could be extended or made permanent.

Title: Software Engineer Level 2

Description: The Client is looking for a software engineer who possess a passion for conceptualizing, building, and testing autonomous systems. This position provides the opportunity to apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the software and hardware fields to develop tangible, differentiated, and meaningful solutions aimed at significantly enhancing the sustainment of complex systems and enabling future capabilities.

The selected candidate will be part of a range of projects including short-term sprints (rapid prototyping) and long-term engagements (database development and management). The team is focused on supporting major projects through the use of a small, innovative core team to create and sustain state-of-the-art technologies across several lines of business.

The selected candidate will have responsibilities spanning the complete system development life-cycle. This includes requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, deployment, and maintenance. The candidate can be expected to be exposed to electrical circuits to be used in designing custom solutions under the guidance of senior colleagues. The candidate is afforded opportunities for study, personal development, and experimentation in this area. The candidate must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management, and communication and interpersonal skills.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Extensive programming experience with either C/C and/or .NET. Proficiency with software architecture concepts, paradigms, procedures. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Desired: Database creation/management (SQL, Oracle, etc.). Experience with .NET (C#, ASP, etc.). Experience deploying .NET applications. Experience developing applications on Linux. Experience developing embedded applications. Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagleBone, etc. Experience with capturing Software Requirements. Experience with code repositories and version control. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, inter-process communications, and thread management. Proficient understanding of UI development (web, desktop, tablet/touch UI, and/or mobile). Proficient understanding of distributed application (client-side and server-side). Self-starter with strong motivation and execution capabilities.Team player, excellent communication skills.
