Job Title: ETL Tech Lead
About the Job:
Responsible for design, code development and delivering projects as a tech team lead as part of the Data Integration Competency Center (DICC) team within the Enterprise Data and Information Services.
Responsible for leading, coordinating with other technical project resources and actively contributing to the coding development / delivery implementation of enterprise class data integration/middleware solutions on behalf of Portfolio delivery teams.
This position requires strong experience with enterprise leadership, coordinating other project assigned resources to meet project requirements, code development / testing, collaboration with other Team & Tech Leads, in addition to the Manager of the Data Integration Competency Center.
Relying on their expertise, experience, and judgment, the selected Tech Lead will collaborate with other Tech Leads and other partners in the application of multiple tools, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance of the tools. As such, the selected Tech leader will demonstrate subject matter expertise in order to consistently deliver high quality enterprise-class data integration/middleware solutions.
Essential Job Functions:
Collaborate with other Tech Leads and team members across multiple projects
Provide strategic direction to teams and staff in alignment with established DICC enterprise class services/framework direction and senior leadership direction.
Provide effective stewardship of tools, technologies, and development practices within the Competency Center span of control.
Design / Code / Test in conjunction with other technical resources (onshore / offshore) on the Enterprise middleware approach (design, development, implementation and processes).
Strive to achieve and maintain a "trusted advisor" status with client/partner and project communities.
4+ years of IT leadership experience
4+ years of delivering enterprise-wide integration solutions
Prior project management experience with the coordination of resources located across multiple sites ; demonstrated expertise triaging integration delivered solutions
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and solution delivery of various data integration solutions in situations requiring Middleware, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), XML, and other related methodologies.
Demonstrated development / delivery expertise in the following (or similar) tool sets: Ab Initio, Hadoop, SQL, DB interaction, Google Cloud, Scripting, Job Scheduling, Security, Release Management and related interoperability protocols.
Demonstrated expertise in leading and/or participating on technical teams in addition to Estimating on the delivery of Integration solutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge/experience in the financial services industry a plus.
