CTG is seeking a Senior Project Manager with solid health insurance background to manage and lead IT projects!

Project Duration: 6 months

Project Location Remote (Buffalo, NY)

Job Title: Sr. Healthcare PM

Description: Full-time contract

Job Summary:

• Project Management

o Support a corporate approach to project management

o Work with business owners to develop, motivate and lead project teams from initiation of a project through implementation

o Facilitate the completion of project plans for new projects, including development and maintenance of scope documents, project timelines, work breakdown structures, budget and resource requirements

o Manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across the life cycle of the project

o Reconcile actual resource time spent on project with time that was forecasted (for internal and external resources)

o Manage project dependencies across the enterprise

o Identify and manage risks, issues, and key decisions

o Develop contingency plans when needed and escalate risks and issues to the business owner and IT Leadership

o Work with the Project Team in identifying and assessing the impact of the project on the organization. Prepare status reports, including conflicts or critical operating barriers with recommendations

o Assist in the development, and or selection of project management tools and utilize tools to assure appropriate documentation

o Maintain knowledge on the current project management discipline and continuously review project management development opportunities and incorporate new tools and/or methodologies, as appropriate

o Lead project closure and conduct post-implementation evaluation

• Leadership

o Provide team leadership, facilitation and direction of work teams, in conjunction with and support of the business owners, supporting the project management function.

o Effective communication and listening skills.

o Responsible for coordinating documentation.

o Assist the IT team in the development and implementation of initiatives to support corporate strategic priorities.

o Exude confidence and demonstrate political attunement to build partnerships and encourage collaboration between individuals and teams.

o Work in a dynamically changing and complex project environment, in which people flow in and out of the loop depending on project phase, processes shift and change, technologies importance to the task rises and falls, and business rules are subject to interpretation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

• Four (4) years of additional project management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Project Management Certification preferred

• Six (6) years of project management experience required to include experience with information systems or information system projects

• Health care industry experience required, preferably in the medical insurance business

• Demonstrated experience with a project management tool such as MS Project or equivalent required

• Demonstrated project management skills, including strong analytical capacity, proven ability to facilitate teams and proficiency with project management software

• Developed listening skills, proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
