Title: Instructional Designer- Remote

Our client in New York, NY has an immediate opening for a Remote Instructional Designer for a 3 month contract assignment (potential for extension)

  • $40.00-45.00/hour (No PTO or holiday pay)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • At least 8 years of related experience

  • e-Learning experience is a must

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform consulting and front-end analysis in a corporate training environment

  • Analyze client training needs and work with clients to determine training requirements and innovative solutions for target audiences

  • Research and analyze content from a variety of sources and facilitate design sessions with key stakeholders, SMEs and global project team


  • Demonstrate ability to design learning including Design Scopes, Content Roadmaps, Storyboards and Scripts to client specifications within project limitations (budget, timeline, etc.)

  • Design and develop instructional material in a corporate and consultative setting

  • Utilize performance industry standards


  • Develop Web-based learning, Videos, Instructor-led training, Guides (such as job aids, quick reference guides, infographics) and blended solutions

  • Employ graphic design concepts, desktop publishing methods and working with global multimedia teams


  • Evaluate learning program content to ensure effectiveness, relevance and adherence to changing regulation, policies, business strategies, etc.


  • Lead the instructional design processes to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate instructional materials and programs and lead global cross-functional learning teams (instructional designer, media and graphics specialists, etc.) in that process

Project Management:

  • Aid in the development and adherence to project timelines, scope and level of effort-estimate

  • Ensure that design team delivers on time and within the level of effort-estimate budget

  • Create and execute curriculum maintenance plans

  • Employ strong attention to detail and quality

  • Employ strong people skills, including but not limited to the ability to facilitate meetings and handle both ambiguity and constant change within the team and with the client

  • Work both independently and in a collaborative environment

  • Experience managing and deploying content in an LMS
