CTG is looking for aTechnical Sales Engagement Representativeto join our growing client's team.

The Technical Sales Engagement Representative will be involved in planning and execution of AMD-specific campaign activities and being proactive with the sales team as the focus. They will be managing pipelines and helping to uncover and drive new opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • SME/focal for AMD-based solutions in Commercial segment

  • Go-to for Commercial TCA team on issues/questions

  • Keep Commercial TCA team up-to-date on AMD technical messaging

  • Partner with Commercial sales teams to:

  • Analyze/position AMD-based products/solutions in portfolio based on user requirements

  • Articulate AMD based technology offerings across multiple market verticals

  • Manage AMD pipeline and opportunities

  • Manage Seed Unit process

  • Understand/engage in top AMD opportunities in current/upcoming quarters (part of BMS)

  • Provide expert-level pre-sales assistance to customer IT departments:

  • Provide technical assistance to sales in the design of AMD based solutions

  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with end-user objectives

  • Install and test solutions in-house, as required, to ensure successful deployments and evaluations

  • Design and manage the execution of evaluation plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered

  • Work with customers, sales teams and other AMD SME on solution architecture/deployment/implementation plans

  • Document any customer objections/concerns around AMD solutions and roll up to Category team

  • Be a credible subject matter expert to customer IT staff on direct and indirect product capabilities

  • Partner with Category team on:

  • Identify any specialty/vertical-oriented use cases

  • Updating/refreshing marketing deliverables to stay relevant

  • Working on AMD-based promotions/programs

  • Understand the competitive landscape:

  • Articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD

  • Identify “attack vectors” in acquisition accounts (AMD-based solutions vs. Dell/HP Intel and Dell/HP AMD solutions)

  • Understand areas of weakness in portfolio based on form factor/use case and how to pivot

  • Partner with AMD on:

  • AMD events for Corporate customers

  • Highlighting key opportunities and help needed

  • Key customer engagement/partnership

  • Conduct technical presentations for internal teams, customers, partners and prospects

  • Other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Technical sales experience (1-5 years)

  • Strong aptitude for technology and learning new products

  • Experience working directly with customers

  • BA/BS Degree is required (prefer Math, Science, Technical related degrees)

  • Strong communication skills
