SUMMARY:You will be working from start to finish on projects, and it will be essential to understand all aspects of each system, from both a business and technical point of view. This means having a full working knowledge of technologies such as UNIX, SQL Server, No SQL Databases (eg Elastic), Rest API’s, Micro Services, VPN, Monitoring solutions (such as Prometheus) and SDLC best practice for example, as well as working knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Java & Python.

Some of the main tasks you can expect to be involved in:

  • Time spent dealing with people globally.

  • Hand on new development and enhancements to existing applications and processes.

  • Bringing externally developed & supported solutions in house.

  • Identifying the organization’s needs and using this to generate ideas with team members to offer insightful solutions.

  • Data Modeling Logical & Physical.

  • Ensuring the solution is fit for purpose from a security standpoint. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exemplary technical leadership skills with strong technical process abilities.

  • Ability to build, lead, and manage a technical design, integration, and test team.

  • Subject matter expertise in delivering web based applications.

  • In Depth Experience with Java, Unix, SQL, Windows Server, JavaScript, SDLC.

  • Willingness and Desire to learn new technologies.

  • Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an engineering discipline and in leading engineers.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in an autonomous, leadership capacity.

  • High degree of creativity in finding new ways to execute and improve effectiveness.

  • Spirit of entrepreneurship requiring high-energy, proactivity, and teaming/collaboration.

  • Keen understanding of country/region complexities for global implementations.

  • Experience with mobile development.

  • Familiarity with existing DCG Hardware a big plus.
