CTG Lab Technician in Morrisville, North Carolina

CTG is seeking to fill a Lab Technician opening for our client in Morrisville, NC.

Location: Morrisville, NC

Duration: 12+ months, with possibility for extension

Duties:

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and installing hardware in the development labs.

  • Review project documents, including PowerPoint presentations and other collateral, to understand hardware requirements for new systems (referred to as "polling").

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and determine the hardware components needed for system builds.

  • Manage the process of ordering required parts and track the status of orders.

  • Receive and verify hardware upon arrival.

  • Assemble and configure systems, including hardware setup and updating firmware.

  • Install and configure operating systems on the assembled systems.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting of lab hardware to ensure smooth operation.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of hardware components and system assembly.

  • Familiarity with system configuration, including firmware updates and operating system installation.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and track inventory and orders effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a lab or hardware-related environment is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with system assembly, hardware configuration, and maintenance.

  • Experience with ordering and tracking hardware and working with cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
