CTG is hiring in Moorestown, NJ! We need a QA Engineer (level 3) to work a 12-month assignment at our premier partner, Lockheed Martins', facility.

Job Description: Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.

  • Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability;

  • Facilitates technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement;

  • Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues;

  • Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability;

  • Develops and refines specifications and requirements flowed down to suppliers and their sub-tiers to reduce program risk. The role will also routinely include the tasking listed below:

  • Review of program contractual and drawing requirements and support inspection activities based on applicable quality flow-down text per the purchase orders;

  • Providing hands on support to Receiving Inspection personnel on products involving a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electric disciplines;

  • Close coordination with technical, program, procurement and production control and suppliers;

  • Basic quality services including:

  • Verification of special processes;

  • Part acceptance planning;

  • Defect analysis;

  • Timely root cause and corrective action implementation for affected products.

  • Making recommendations on potential supplier usage based on cost, inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance.



  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;

  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance;

  • Excellent organizational skills and leadership skills;

  • Ability to make strategic decisions while delivering results;

  • Previous experience preparing and delivering presentations;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective/Preventive Action;

  • BS/BT degree from an accredited college in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, Electrical engineering or a related technical degree;

  • Working experience can be substituted for technical degree;

  • Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.Desired:

  • Strong understanding of AS9100 RevD principals and As9102 First Article Inspection;

  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or Procure to Pay (P2P) modules;

  • Strong ability to multi-task;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Excel at working in a team environment;

  • Knowledge of and experience with Geometric Tolerancing & Dimensioning (GD&T);

  • ISO 9001/AS9100 working knowledge;

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge as related to drawings and inspection;

  • Procurement/Supplier/Source inspection experience;

  • Strong ability to analyze and assess Root Cause Corrective/Preventative Actions for effectivity;

  • Working familiarity with military and industry standards and specifications;
