Description:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Must be flexible to work overtime if required.

Work is required to be onsite.

Possibility of travel may be required in US but less than 5%.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Training and Services Administrator is responsible for execution and reporting of activities associated with optical customer technical training and other services. The primary role is administration of logistics and other aspects of standard and customized training programs. For standard programs, this involves scheduling, maintaining the public registration site (“Cvent”); processing registrations and payments; and managing and reporting training metrics. For customized programs, this involves determining customer requirements; preparing and providing descriptions of training; managing the preparation and submittal of quotes, collection of orders, and payment processing. A critical aspect is confirming customer satisfaction with training and other services in all phases.

Additional duties include administration of the deployment projects’ database (“Siterra”), support account registrations, and other general administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer technical training programs, including:

Scheduling of headquarters and on-site training programs

Manage the training registration site (“Cvent”)

Scheduled instructor-led classes

Registration

New e-learning programs, updates to existing programs

Manage the operational aspects of training

Responses to training inquiries

Standard programs

Customized programs

Development of training agendas

Securing customer agreement on content, schedule, and venue

Negotiating course preparation, delivery, and other prices

Pre-course paperwork (e.g. NDAs, POs)

Registration confirmation

Managing payment for standard and customized programs

Course rosters

Course logistics

Scheduling

Shipping of hands-on equipment to training venues

Ordering and shipping student materials

Catering orders for attendee meals and refreshments

Training certificates

Collection and reporting of student course reviews

Updates to training database

Attendee and company certification for System Integrator training

Attendees and dates of other carrier training programs

Monthly reports of training activity to management

Control training physical resources

Communication with internal audience (Sales, CE, FE, CS)

Upcoming classes and available seats

Full rosters, requests for additional programs (overflow)

Feedback and suggestions for course content

Administer and support other projects

Update and maintain deployment projects’ database (“Siterra”)

Maintain other customer feedback in a “kudos” file

Manage the support programs’ renewals process, including pending expirations, payments, and renewals

Manage new support account requests

Other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school degree is required; some college experience or a degree is preferred. Training or experience on standard Windows Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required. Website management experience is a plus.

• Two-plus years of experience in training or support program management - ideally in a customer-facing role for a telecom equipment provider.

• Ability to understand fundamental customer applications and requirements.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to generate reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, and customers.
