Title: TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2
Job Number: 19205517 CTG is seeking a Technician (Level 2) to work a 1 year assignment for our client in Manassas, VA.
Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements using redetermined methods and in some cases may determine methods and sequences. Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. May improvise or adapt inspection and measuring devices as needed. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Maintains records of results. Position if for 1st shift.
1 year of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience. 1 year experience in parts inspection using micrometers, gauges, and calipers and for defects. Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawing and inspection instructions. Experience lifting and moving material weighting up to 600 lbs on a pallet jack. Good oral and written communication skills. Team player with above average computer skills.
2 year Technical Degree. Knowledge of Product Specs, i.e. IPC, MilStd,etc. Working knowledge of SAP/P2P. Working knowledge of EPDM. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of welding inspection.
