CTG is seeking a Level 1 Help Desk Technologist or Technical Support Representative for a long term position in Madison, WI supporting a large insurance customer. This is a telephone, technical support role in a call center environment.

  • Location: Madison, WI

  • Duration: 12 months - contract up to 3 years

  • Shift: 2nd Shift, 11am-8pm and a four hours on Saturday or Sunday from 5am - 6pm.

  • Pay: $20 per hour (benefits available including health, dental, vision, PTO, FSA)

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

Standard Level 1 Help Desk work in a high call volume environment. Provide support to a variety of customers, troubleshooting technical problems or providing technical support related to software and hardware systems through configuration, monitoring, control and maintaining. PC/Printer issues are the most common calls.

Job Details:

The first 8 weeks of the position will be training. The hours will be during normal 1st shift business hours to learn role, Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:45pm. Working hours after training are second shift 11am-8pm and select Saturday or Sunday from 5:00am - 6:00pm (usually a half-day).

  • Candidates need to be flexible on their hours

  • Calls are from corporate employees and the agency force

  • The Help Desk is a 24x7 operation

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months of large IT high volume call center experience

  • A Certification is preferred

  • Good Typing Skills with the ability to document problems and solutions

  • Prior experience troubleshooting PC and Printer technical problems

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Reliability is a MUST – able to be at work based on schedule consistently

  • Able to work 11am - 8pm Monday through Friday and half a day on Saturday OR Sunday

  • The job is 100% phone support in a large call center environment
