CTG is seeking a Material Handler to work a 1 year assignment for our client in Los Angeles, CA.

Description:

Provide general logistical support at the Javelin Maintenance Support Center at LAX in Los Angeles. Performs material handling and general warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.

Duties include but not limited to:

-Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

  • Experience with commercial shipping documentation and practices

-Ability to safely un-pack and pack military equipment per established procedures

-Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

-Ability to operate hand tools for banding and palletization in accordance with safety requirements and procedures

-Ability to read and understand work instructions

-Assisting in on-going warehousing effort to include preparation for shipment, loading and off-loading, and general warehousing duties.

-General logistical duties, receiving, collecting repair documents, opening repair orders, and shipping reparable assets.

-Ability to maintain accurate records, ability to work very well in a team environment.

-Knowledge of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) handling

-Possess a current driver’s license

-Basic computer user skills to include proficiency with excel spreadsheets.

-Experience using a fork lift and pallet stacker required.

-Ability to effectively communicate with team members.

Skill/Experience/Education
