CTG, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a seven-month contract with our client located in Lexington, KY!

There is a possibility that this contract could be extended or made permanent!

Job Description: Designs and oversees the plant or manufacturing systems, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, production machinery, and other material-handling equipment used in fabrication, assembly, and other production functions; analyzes engineering sketches, specifications and related data, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts; oversees the construction of machine and sub-assemblies considering such specifications as gear ratios, bearing loads, and direction of moving parts; compiles and analyzes test data to determine effect of design on machines in relation to factors such as temperature, pressures, speed, horsepower, and fuel consumption.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with 3D parametric modeling and drafting in CATIA or similar tool

Experience with Teamcenter or similar PDM/PLM software tool

Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment to meet objectives

Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written

Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

Desired:

CANDIDATES WITH ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Familiarity with C-130 or other similar fixed wing or military aircraft

Experience working in an aerospace environment with exposure to DoD customers

Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.100 or similar design and drafting standards

Familiarity or experience with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience designing, or working with, sheet metal and machined components

Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation

Experience with an engineering change process and/or configuration control process
