CTG is assisting a client in La Crosse, WI in staffing a Project Manager for a 7 month contract with potential for long-term extension.
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: La Crosse, WI
Job Type:Hourly Consultant
Pay:up to $64.72/hr
Client does not yet know the break down of what # of days the person will be required on site and what # of days virtual. The estimate is that it will be onsite at first then go to a more hybrid schedule as the project is transferring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop detailed plans using Project Management Institute standards
Develop schedules with project tracking and oversight (what to do and how to get it done) to include: -- Time management -- Cost -- Deliverables risk -- Customer expectations and relationships -- 3rd party suppliers
Client Satisfaction: Takes responsibility for client satisfaction w /deliverables
Business Development: Recognizes IM/business opportunities and helps develop them
Progress Tracking: Provides good work effort status and completion time estimates
Mentoring: Provides technical guidance to more junior staff members
Leadership: Provides leadership on moderate sized projects under supervision
Organizing: Effectively organizes and prioritizes their work
SKILLS:
Ability to demonstrate level of independence as this position is mostly self-directed
Ability to demonstrate team leadership. Makes major contributions to teams and/or leads teams.
Project Management: Ability to demonstrate use of tools to track project progress and keep clients updated
Project Decomposition: Demonstrate ability to decomposes complex projects into components
Project Management: Demonstrate ability to identify dependencies and predict completion times
Leadership: Demonstrate ability to inspire confidence in the technical staff
Budgeting: Demonstrate ability to exercise control over the cost and have the ability to schedule elements of a project
Organizing: Demonstrate ability to efficiently organize multiple project segments and assignments
Ability to demonstrate systems knowledge in one or more areas as required : -- Documentum -- Exigen -- Verity -- RightFax -- General IT Staffing -- Infrastructure - UNIX -- Infrastructure - Windows -- Quality Assurance Testing
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: 10 Years’ Experience
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred: PMI Certified and/or Master’s Degree
