Job Title:HR Generalist
Scope of Position:
The HR Generalist is responsible for a wide-range of human resources functions including but not limited to: compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and employment, HRIS and compliance. This position will collaborate with other members of the HR team, and work collaboratively to implement HR policies, practices and procedures and actively contribute to the overall goals and priorities of the client and the Office of Human Resources.
•Works closely with supervisor to identify hiring needs and facilitate the recruitment and selection process, and acts as a resource for assigned positions/searches. Communicates with candidates about the status of their applications including conducting phone screenings and issuing new hire paperwork.
•Supports the daily operations of student employment including the hiring and termination process, maintains policy and procedure updates, and provides employee training.
•Serves as a point of contact for all employee relations questions and concerns, resolving all inquiries in a timely manner. Serves as functional resource for employees, ensuring their understanding of and compliance with HR policies, programs and practices.
•Data entry into HRIS systems, including initiating, entering and managing employee changes.
•Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
•Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
•Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing client, its programs, policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
•Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
•Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the client mission, vision and values and adhering to institutional policies.
•Maintain high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
•Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
•Perform other functions as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Skills:
•A bachelor's degree and one (1) to two (2) years of Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
•Knowledge of employment law and HR principles and practices, preferred.

•Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted
•All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors)
