CTG is currently seeking an experienced Systems Administratorfor a recently implemented Oracle Fusion Middleware infrastructure, including the Web Center Suite, Weblogic Suite, SOA Suite, Business Process Management and Oracles Identity Governance and Access Management Suite.
This position is located on site in Juneau, AK.
No travelers, C2C or 1099 and sponsorship is not available for this role.
Summary
This position will be working closely with the Information Services team this position will provide enterprise Oracle DBA and system administration for the Oracle Infrastructure, Oracle databases, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Identity Management and Middleware installations.
Services must include Performance Tuning; Backup and Recovery; Health Check and Monitoring; On Call
Support; patching and maintenance; trouble shooting and technical assistance with questions from our technical team to maintain and enhance the infrastructure. Perform preventive measures to ensure continued systems operations.
Ideal Candidate must have working experience managing Oracles Maximium Availability Architecture (RAC, Cloud Control and Dataguard), WebCenter Content, Identity Manager and a clustered Oracles Middleware Enterprise infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Ensure availability and performance of production services running on servers
Develop and implement disaster recovery processes to ensure system availability
Ensure server-based systems are backed up and maintained
Maintain a secure computing environment on all servers, implement existing security policies
Ensure maintenance contracts are adequate and up-to-date
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Duties
Systems Administrator - Both Windows and Oracle
Oracle Database Administrator
Oracle Middleware Administration
Run/setup scheduled jobs on servers
Document all system operations procedures and infrastructure to ensure up-to-date and accurate information is available to all staff
Prepare reports of server utilization levels, system down time, and response time
Prepare reports of system capacity, including projections indicating future upgrade needs
Maintain and monitor server access logs and system logs
Apply virus definition updates to servers
Ensure all backup systems are functioning and tape backups are completed as scheduled
Perform preventative maintenance on servers, including keeping systems software up-to-date with patches and upgrades
Troubleshoot server problems as level 2 support to help desk
Develop, document, and test detailed disaster recovery plan for servers
Implement change management process as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
Minimum three years of business and systems administration experience
Specific technical skills/certifications appropriate to operating platform
Ability to troubleshoot and determine cause of problems
Familiarity with project management tools in the development of schedules, goals, and timetables
