Payroll Analyst – Contract to Hire

CTG is immediately hiring a Payroll Analyst for a contract opportunity in Irving, TX with our premier client in the Healthcare Payer Solutions space.

Duration: 3 month contract to hire opportunity

Location: Irving, TX

Compensation: $22 per hour

Position Details

We are seeking a talented individual for a Payroll Analyst who is responsible for payroll preparation/processing, tax reporting, and deduction processing. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, well organized, have strong problem solving skills, be an analytical thinker. Proficiency in MS Office especially in Excel is a must have. The department uses V-Lookups daily and Pivot tables. Excellent customer service skills. Must be a good communicator, both face-to-face and via email. Must work well in a fast-paced, often high-stress environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and maintain payroll information for multi-state payrolls, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to 2,000 employees.

  • Work closely with Human Resources to gather employee payroll information.

  • Enter data for new hires, changes, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations accurately and timely.

  • ADP eTime program administration; review employee time entry for accuracy and approvals.

  • Assist with preparing reports, including standard and ad hoc reports, queries and audits to ensure data integrity.

  • Create Payroll journal entries.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to operate MS Office, especially Excel, proficiently

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and heavy workloads

  • Ability to be careful and thorough about details

  • Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems

  • Ability to organize well

  • Ability to work in team or individual environment to meet objectives and deadlines

  • Ability to use technical features within ADP

  • Ability to provide strong customer service

  • Ability to learn HIPPA privacy and security rules• Strong Customer Service Skills, Problem Solving Skills and Critical and Analytical Thinking Ability

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent training and education required

  • 3 years working in a multi-state Payroll department with experience in ADP and ReportSmith
