Computer Task Group (CTG) has an immediate opening for ajunior to intermediate level Web Application Development Technical Supportperson for a government client inDowntown Houston, TX.
Location: Downtown Houston, TX - 40 Hours per Week Onsite, Monday – Friday with some schedule flexibility to work after hours occasionally
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension based on performance
Pay Rate – DOE up to $44 per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in managing client built websites and customer web applications in a DNN/ASP/C#.Net environment.
Manage trouble tickets, identify and triage problems, prioritize what is in the ticket queue, and escalate tickets if necessary to the correct team.
Tasks include content management, site setups, and CMS tool administration.
Work with development team to support custom and 3rd party web applications.
Participate in projects as a tester and/or change management role.
Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting complex software problems and providing solutions to overcome those problems using the latest technologies.
Provide recommendations for application and system improvements.
You must also have excellent written and spoken English communication skills and feel comfortable working with technical and non-technical team members, customers, and management.
Required Job Skills:
3+ years of experience supporting web sites hosted on web content management systems (examples: DNN, ASP)
2+ years of experience working with SharePoint (SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online) – administering SharePoint 2013 sites, libraries, lists, and pages and willingness/ability to learn advanced SharePoint functions
2+ years of experience using Visual Studio (2010 or later) in support of HTML5 & C# applications.
Experience working with .NET application architecture (including web.config management) and IIS as well as working with application pools
Understanding of how webservers work (IIS)
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to collaborate and interact confidently with individuals at all levels; must be dedicated to a high degree of customer service with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as being able to do certain tasks autonomously
Ability to work independently and on a team
Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
Preferred Job Skills:
Experience working Level-1 and Level-2 support for Help Desk including managing ticket queues and identifying when an issue should be escalated
Experience with testing methodologies, change control, and producing technical documentation
Experience working in a large enterprise IT department
Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
